TOP WAY TO SELL ITEMS ONLINE IN MALAYSIA

IN MALAYSIA, SITEGIANT IS SELLING ITEMS ONLINE.

Sitegiant is the way to go if you’re seeking for the greatest eCommerce platform for selling products online in Malaysia.

With over 3500 active merchants and 1.5 billion in GMV, Sitegiant is Malaysia’s top eCommerce platform.

Sitegiant’s hands-on training, drag-and-drop website builder, social network store integration, and online marketplace sync provide numerous benefits.

My favourite Sitegiant feature is its connectivity with nearly every prominent Malaysian marketplace, including Lazada, Shopee, Zalora, Qoo10, Prestomall, and Lelong.

all the way to international marketplaces like eBay and Amazon

This broad integration is a significant aspect that makes it the most effective approach to sell your products online in Malaysia.

Sitegiant, on the other hand, exclusively offers yearly subscription rates with no free trial. For those looking to get their feet wet and test the waters, this may be a deal breaker because it necessitates a significant upfront investment.

Furthermore, due to a lack of themes, third-party add-ons, and plugins, this choice may not be suitable for people who demand fully customised functionalities for their online store.

Despite these drawbacks, Sitegiant is significantly less expensive than its worldwide eCommerce platform competitors, and unlike platforms like Shopify and online marketplaces, it charges no transaction fees.

With its services tailored to the Malaysian market, Sitegiant is by far the greatest way to sell products online in Malaysia.

IN MALAYSIA, SELLING ITEMS ONLINE WITH SHOPIFY

Shopify is without a doubt the best worldwide eCommerce platform available.

Shopify will be the greatest option to sell things online in Malaysia for shops selling both locally and internationally. Even if you’re unfamiliar with Shopify’s services, you’ve definitely heard of the company and are familiar with its well-known dropshipping capabilities.

My personal favourite Shopify feature is the slick iOS and Android app, which allows you to manage your business from the convenience of your smartphone.

Why waste time operating your store at a computer when you can go out and about while keeping an eye on it from your phone?

Shopify is also very user-friendly and well-suited to international vendors and buyers. Shopify is the platform to use if you want to sell things online abroad, especially in Malaysia.

Shopify also comes with a plethora of free and paid themes and apps. Feel free to customise your online store’s operations and design to meet your specific demands.

While its capabilities may appear to be almost enticing, Shopify is actually rather costly (because everything is in USD) and does not cater to the Malaysian market. You are, however, entitled to a 14-day free trial with them. There’s no harm in trying!

I recommend Shopify for international sellers that want to appeal to both local Malaysian and international buyers.

IN MALAYSIA, SELLING ITEMS ONLINE WITH WORDPRESS’ WOOCOMMERCE

As a web designer, I’m prejudiced in saying that WordPress’ WooCommerce is the greatest way to sell products online in Malaysia and abroad. I have a solid reason for it, though.

WooCommerce is one of the greatest ways to sell products online, with over 5 million downloads, supporting one-third of all online stores and powering 22% of the top one million eCommerce stores around the world.

Is WooCommerce, however, the correct fit for you?

WooCommerce, like WordPress, is open-source software that takes basic coding experience to set up.

I wouldn’t recommend WooCommerce to newbies or those looking to put up an internet business on their own, but it does provide comprehensive functionality and design flexibility.

Installing and using WooCommerce is free, however you’ll need to set up and buy the following:

A domain name (RM60–RM120 per year), website hosting (RM200+ per year), a payment gateway (Free – RM450+ per year), and a WordPress theme (RM100+) or Custom Website Design Price Malaysia (RM1,200–RM6,000).
WooCommerce is no match for SiteGiant or Shopify in terms of built-in functionalities. You will, however, have access to your website’s source code as well as over 50,000 plugins to add any functionality you can think of.

Nothing will be able to stop your creativity from flowing more freely than it could with an eCommerce shopping cart platform if you know how to code or hire a web developer.

WordPress, in addition to all of the eCommerce features, allows you to improve your website’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) score. You’ll need effective SEO to rank higher on Google’s Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

WooCommerce is the greatest option to sell products online in Malaysia for individuals who know how to code or don’t mind employing a web designer to develop an online store.
