Tips to Reset iPhone Without Passcode

As we all know that resetting iPhone without passcode is not as easy as it sounds. iPhone doesn’t let you to perform this process unless you enter the passcode which has been used on your iPhone previously. So, what if I tell you that with a USB cable and an iTunes backup of your device, you can reset your iPhone without passcode and surprisingly, no data will be lost. There are two ways to do so:

Method 1. Using iTunes Backups:
Step 1: The first thing you need to do is download an app called “iBrute.” You can find it on cydia under the name ‘ifile’.

Step 2: After downloading iBrute, open the app and select the ‘Utilities’ tab. Scroll down and select ‘Create Bridge.’ You will be prompted to enter your device’s root password. Enter it and click OK. [The default password is “alpine”]

Step 3: Now you need to go to the notifications tab and click the ‘iBridge’ notification. Under ‘Type:’ select an email address, your PC’s IP address and set port to 58713 (or any random one that you like).

Step 4: You need to copy the link in step 3 and download a file called “apple_id_email.zip” from here.

Step 5: After downloading the file, unzip it and open iExplorer (or any other preferred third-party iOS browser). Go to /var/root/library/keychains and delete all files related to “AppleId.”

Step 6: Now return back to the iBrute app and select Utilities > Restore Bridge. A dialogue box will be displayed and you need to copy the link on it and paste on your browser. Another popup window will appear, asking for root password again.

Step 7: After copying the link, open iExplorer (or any other preferred iOS browser) and go to Library > Application Support > MobileSync > Backup. Open the latest backup file which you want to reset iPhone with.

Step 8: Find the file in the backup, called “DeviceInfo.plist” and copy it into your PC. Return back to iBrute app and select Utilities > Restore Data. Paste the copied link on the dialogue box and click OK.

Step 9: The process of resetting your iphone will begin. You may disconnect the device from PC once completed. [Do not forget to delete backups from iCloud and iTunes!]

Method 2. Using Official Apple servers:
You can also make use of official apple server to reset your iPhone by following these steps, but this method will cost you $20 to get your job done.
